What is FindFloridaLawyer.com?
FindFloridaLawyer.com is an online directory of Florida Attorneys to help consumers find Florida Lawyers.
Why was this site created?
We wanted to make it easier for consumers to find Florida Lawyers throughout the entire state based on their areas of expertise.
Also, we wanted to make it convenient for Florida Attorneys to enhance or create an internet presence. If you have ever tried to use the internet to find a Florida lawyer, you can see how difficult and time consuming it is to search through thousands of web sites to find one attorney. We decided that it would be much easier if we could create one web site where you could find and research thousands of Florida lawyers. As you will find, with a few mouse clicks you can find attorneys by areas of practice, geographic location or language preference.
What is the legal news section about?
We have developed a section that is designed to bring you legal news that pertains to the Florida legal community. When you select a news provider in this section, you will be given headlines that you can select and read about for more information. Our goal is to give you legal news that pertains to the Florida legal community.
We could use your help. If you know of a good legal news provider that would benefit the Florida legal community, please email us at legalnews@FindFloridaLawyer.com and we will be happy to review and add to our list of news providers.
Can I add my own Legal Blog?
Absolutely. We encourage it. If you or anyone you know has a legal blog that pertains to the Florida Legal community we can add your RSS feed to our site. The legal blog section is designed to be an aggregate for Florida legal blogs, and the more the merrier. Remember our goal is to make it easier for internet users and consumers to find your business.
If you already have an active blog with an RSS feed, we would be delighted to consider it. Just email us at legalblogs@FindFloridaLawyer.com with your proposed blog site.
Why should I create a profile?
Web based legal directories are quickly replacing the yellow pages. No one searches the yellow pages anymore and its all about catering to internet users and their preferences. If you already have a web site then you have already made a conscious decision to be found on the internet. Plus it’s a good idea to find creative ways for consumers to find your business. Whether you are a family law Attorney in Jacksonville, or an Attorney specializing in Traumatic Brain Injuries, it’s a good idea to make it easier for internet users to find your business.
FindFloridaLawyer.com is just another way to make it easier for internet users to find and discover your business. As you can imagine, the entire internet is a huge resource, but sometimes it’s just impossible to truly find and discover exactly what you are looking for. Web sites that make it easier for businesses to be found are becoming convenient resources for consumers to gather and find information.
I am already listed on the site, how can I activate my profile?
It’s easy. Simply go to this link List Your Profile page.
On the Create a listing page, go to the section titled “Already Listed.” Type in your email address and we will send you your password to access the site.
Do I really need to fill out the content in my profile?
Yes, it’s a really good idea to fill out the content in your profile. Think of it this way. If you created a web site for your business would you leave your home page blank? When visitors come to read your profile, you want them to read about your success and achievements. The same thing applies here. The more content that your listing provides, the more likely your business will be found by potential visitors. Also, our “Quick Search” button will return results based on the content displayed in each profile. The more comprehensive your profile, the more likely your profile will be found in search results initiated on this site.
What is the best way to complete a profile?
Once you establish and create your own profile, you may complete your listing by copying content from your own web site and pasting it in the appropriate section. You can even create a link to your own web site and that will help drive traffic back to your web site.
Can I create more than one listing?
Florida Attorneys can only create one listing in the attorney section that must be connected to a valid Florida Bar number.
I am a Florida lawyer with multiple office locations, can I list more than one office address?
Yes. Paid members can list multiple office locations. Each office location will increase your odds of being found in search results so we strongly recommend listing multiple office locations when applicable.
Should I really fill out my sub-areas of practice?
Absolutely. Consumers have revealed that they must be able to search attorneys by sub-areas of practice to truly help them find attorneys who practice in adoptions, elder care, airline accidents, etc.. The more precise your listings, the more likely you can be found by potential consumers.
How are the search results ranked?
Good question. When you begin your search, the results will appear in the following order:
1. Listings with a photo will appear before those without a photo;
2. Listings with content in the profile will appear before those without content;
3. Preferred members with a paid listing will appear before complimentary listings.
4. Listings will also appear in the order that they were created or activated. In other words, listings that were created or activated recently will appear after listings that were created or activated before.
How can I become a featured listing and appear more frequently on this site?
Featured listings are presented by paid members who have subscribed to one of our subscription plans. There is absolutely no obligation to become a paid member at any time, but some members prefer additional features and benefits.
To learn more about paid membership plans you may email us at memberships@FindFloridaLawyer.com.
