Probate/Probate Litigation
Mr. Livoti has handled a variety of interesting matters from routine probate to will contests, undue influence claims, trust litigation and missing heirs in multi-million dollar estates.
Criminal Law
Mr. Livoti is admitted to both State and Federal Court. He has had numerous jury trials, successfully representing individuals charged with murder, robbery, burglary, kidnaping, and narcotics. He founded the DUI Clinic in 1985 and represents clients for drunk driving, leaving the scene, driving on suspended licenses, and Department of Motor Vehicle administrative hearings.
Mr. Livoti’s clientele is diverse. It ranges from professionals such as doctors and lawyers, executives from Fortune 500 companies, corporations listed on the NASDAQ and New York Stock Exchange to Jean Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier, President of Haiti for Life. However, Mr. Livoti champions the cause of the average person in need of help.
Cases are referred from attorneys through Florida and across the nation familiar with Mr. Livoti’s work.
Mr. Livoti has enjoyed a number of high profile cases which have appeared in the Miami Herald, Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel, Fort Lauderdale News, Palm Beach Post, New Times and national press including the Los Angeles Times. In addition, his cases have appeared on NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, and WAMI.
He has served as a trial counsel in cases that have been appealed to the Florida Supreme Court, as well as the District Court of Appeal. A number of his cases have been published in Florida Law Weekly Supplement, a source of law and legal opinion for both judges and lawyers.
Mr. Livoti has served on the faculty and Steering Committee for the Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education Committee and in doing so, has helped further the education of other lawyers. He was also a member of the Florida Bar Traffic Rules and DUI Committees. He proposed a rule change which was adopted by the Florida Supreme Court.
